Customer Comments: Want minimal frame, clear glass, clean lines, flush fitting, silver/pewter color frame
Our Comments: There are 3 basic options: Aluminum doors that fit inside the opening and leave the black metal showing. Steel doors that overlap and hide all of the black metal, solid brass or steel doors that overlap the mable and hide everything. We can also do a combination of a steel surround to cover the black metal and then overlap that with an aluminum door. We have created examples of each of these option.

High End Hand Crafted Sliding Doors
These doors are hand crafted by skilled artisans from Solid Brass or Steel, depending on the finish that is desired. This door has 2 fixed panes of glass on the right and left sides and 2 sliding panes in the center. Although these doors are not recommended for wood burning, they are ideal for gas logs like yours. These are available in a wide variety of hand crafted patinas and other finishes and trims (see below).
Option #4A: SD Sliding Fireplace Door with #99 Solid Brass Ocean Wave Casting Inner Trim in Brown Antique Silver with Gray Glass.
Option #4B: SD Sliding Fireplace Door in Pewter (satin nickel) Made to Overlap The Marble. This door has 2 fixed panes of glass on the right and left sides and 2 sliding panes in the center.
Option #4C: SD Sliding Fireplace Door in Pewter (satin nickel) Made to Overlap The Marble To The Hearth. Shown with 1/2" Satin Nickel Trim.
Medium Range Steel Doors
Steel doors are more substantial than the less expensive aluminum doors. They are heavy duty and rugged and are more customizable because the frames are laser cut.
Option #3A: Legend ZC Fireplace Glass Door in Silver Powder Coat. The frame is made to overlap all of the black metal and fit inside the marble opening. There will be a small 1/8" gap left around the door and the marble to ensure that it fits.
Low End Aluminum Doors
Aluminum is an excellent material for fireplace doors because it does not rust and can handle high temperatures when treated with powder coated finishes. It is also the most affordable.
Option #1A: Stiletto ZC Fireplace Glass Door in Satin Nickel (brushed aluminum). This door fits completely inside the opening and leaves the black metal showing.
Option #1B: Stiletto ZC Fireplace Glass Door in Rustic Black. Since the black metal must show with this door, you may want to consider using a black frame.
Option #2: Brookfield ZC Fireplace Glass Door in Natural Iron with Slate Gray Steel Surround (covering black metal).

Mesh & Insulation Options
The Mesh options are behind the glass so you can burn the fire with the doors open and still have spark protection. Great for real wood or gas logs since most gas long manufacturers insist that you have a screen in front of the logs when they are burning. Mesh panel doors are the most popular and are best for when there are toddlers present because they will not open backwards whereas the mesh screens are easily pushed in. Insulation goes between the back of the frame and the fireplace facing, providing a better seal.
Black Mesh Curtains - These slide back and forth on a rod behind the glass
Gate Mesh Doors - These are separate doors behind the glass that have a flat wire mesh and a black frame.
Insulation: Provides a better seal between the fireplace face and the door frame.
