Project #10987 - Glass Doors for Fireplace
Customer Comments: Hello, I have a prefab fireplace and would like a screen (magnetic frame, if possible) to fit over our zero clearance log fireplace opening, in black. The opening is 29 wide and 19 tall. If I could have some ideas or quotes, I would appreciate it. Thank you!

Screens
Option #1: Plain and simple 1/2" wide steel frame with heavy gauge flat wire mesh screen. Mounts with magnets. This is only convenient if you have a remote control for the gas fire, otherwise it is too difficult to remove every time you want to light the logs since the magnets are very strong.
Option #2: 1P10M-ZC 1" Solid Brass Frame with Fine Weave Mesh for best fire viewing. Mounts with magnets that are easier to remove.
Option #3: 1P10M-ZC 1 3/4" Wide Black Steel Frame with 1/2" Wide Solid Brass Frame Trim and Fine Weave Mesh for best fire viewing. Mounts with magnets that are easier to remove.
Option #4: 1P10M Solid Brass Fireplace Screen with Contemporary Feet/Handles and Inner Trim. Outer portion of mesh is double thicknes to hide the black metal. Inner mesh is fine weave for best view of the fire. Can also be made with magnets instead of feet. This would require the knob to be removed and no longer functional.
Glass Doors
Option #5: Stiletto Fireplace Glass Door with Clear Glass and Single Gate Mesh Backup Door. You can burn this with the glass open and the mesh door closed. Close the doors when the gas is not in use to prevent the draft from coming in and out of the fireplace. This is mounted directly to the fireplace with screws. Very easy to install.
Measuring Instructions
To measure for glass doors or magnetic fireplace screens, measure where the width and height arrows show. Additional measurements will be needed for Option #5.

Mesh & Insulation Options
The Mesh options are behind the glass so you can burn the fire with the doors open and still have spark protection. Great for real wood or gas logs since most gas long manufacturers insist that you have a screen in front of the logs when they are burning. Mesh panel doors are the most popular and are best for when there are toddlers present because they will not open backwards whereas the mesh screens are easily pushed in. Insulation goes between the back of the frame and the fireplace facing, providing a better seal.
Black Mesh Curtains - These slide back and forth on a rod behind the glass
Gate Mesh Doors - These are separate doors behind the glass that have a flat wire mesh and a black frame.
Insulation: Provides a better seal between the fireplace face and the door frame.
