Project #10995 - Custom Screens for Ventless Gas Fireplace
Customer Comments: I have a ventless gas log fireplace and need a screen for it. Ideally just covering the opening and I only need mesh, not glass etc. Black would work well or eventually I will have polished nickel accents in the room such as tables so a silver color could also work. The width of the stone opening is 42" and the height is 20.75". Beyond the stone opening there is a metal box inside about 1.5" in that is a bit smaller and some vent holes on the side. Let me know what will work for this space that you carry. Thank you!
Our Comments: Here are several screen options for your fireplace. We have presented options that are attached and free standing to help you decide which is best. The free standing screens might provide better proportions.
Fireplace Opening: 42" W x 20 3/4" H
Note: These mock-ups are not to scale and are meant to help you choose the model of your screen or door, not the finish. Although we may create a general representation of black, iron, bronze, gold and silver tones, you must choose your finish from our samples using the links below. Ask your project manager which samples apply to the items in your project.

Low End Aluminum Doors
Aluminum is an excellent material for fireplace doors because it does not rust and can handle high temperatures when treated with powder coated finishes. It is also the most affordable.
Medium Range Steel Doors
Steel doors are more substantial than the less expensive aluminum doors. They are heavy duty and rugged and are more customizable because the frames are laser cut.

High End Hand Crafted Solid Brass
These doors are hand crafted by skilled artisans from Solid Brass or Steel, depending on the finish that is desired. Very high end, and very refined. Items made from solid brass come in a wide variety of hand crafted patinas and other finishes. Satin Nickel finishes done on solid brass are the finest quality and will not rust like plated steel.

Mesh & Insulation Options
The Mesh options are behind the glass so you can burn the fire with the doors open and still have spark protection. Great for real wood or gas logs since most gas long manufacturers insist that you have a screen in front of the logs when they are burning. Mesh panel doors are the most popular and are best for when there are toddlers present because they will not open backwards whereas the mesh screens are easily pushed in. Insulation goes between the back of the frame and the fireplace facing, providing a better seal.
