Custom Fireplace Screens for Marble Fireplace - Project #11011
Customer Comments:
Hello, We're interested in a custom free standing fireplace screen door. We like the Carolina Window Pane (#52), Carolina Mission WP (#53) and the Banded Scroll (#55), and aren't sure what would look best in our space. In terms of finishes, we like both the Rustic Black (powder coated) and Antique Iron (steel handcrafted) finishes, and were hoping to learn more about the cost difference. We're also open to suggestions if you feel there's another finish that might work well.
Our Comments:
We have created mockups of the 3 screens you requested. We recommend the Forged Iron finish over Antique Iron or Rustic Black. Forged iron is a richer finish. Antique iron does not look much different than flat black but is more expensive.
Fireplace Opening:
36 1/2" W x 24" H

Although we may create a general representation of black, iron, bronze, gold and silver tones, you must choose your finish from our samples using the links below. Ask your project manager which samples apply to the items in your project.

Stiletto

Option #4:
Stiletto Fireplace Glass Door in Rustic Black with Gate Mesh Backup Doors. Glass doors are the most convenient, safest and efficient choice. If you close the doors when you retire in the evening, the fire will safely die out and help keep the warm air in the house rather than having cold air rushing down the chimney all night.

Mesh & Insulation Options
The Mesh options are behind the glass so you can burn the fire with the doors open and still have spark protection. Great for real wood or gas logs since most gas long manufacturers insist that you have a screen in front of the logs when they are burning. Mesh panel doors are the most popular and are best for when there are toddlers present because they will not open backwards whereas the mesh screens are easily pushed in. Insulation goes between the back of the frame and the fireplace facing, providing a better seal.

Black Mesh Curtains - These slide back and forth on a rod behind the glass

Gate Mesh Doors - These are separate doors behind the glass that have a flat wire mesh and a black frame.

Insulation: Provides a better seal between the fireplace face and the door frame.
