Customer Comments: Hi, Fireplace is 41 1/2" wide by 31 3/8" high. Probably looking for an overlap door. Masonry Fireplace. Thinking black or grey color. Can be a stock door. Looking for your recommendation. Thanks.
Our Comments: We have created a variety of choices in all price ranges. The Savanna is one of two stock doors that comes close to fitting. It barely overlaps the opening by 1/8" overlap at the top, which we believe is cutting it too close. The same door can also be custom made to fit better.

Low End Aluminum Doors
Aluminum is an excellent material for fireplace doors because it does not rust and can handle high temperatures when treated with powder coated finishes. It is also the most affordable.
Option #1: Brookfield Fireplace Glass Door in Natural Iron with Gray Glass and Mesh Curtains.
Option #2: Stiletto Cutback Fireplace Glass Door in Antique Pewter with Gray Glass and Mesh Curtains.
Option #3: Stock Savannah Fireplace Glass Door in Rustic Black with Clear Glass and Mesh Curtains. This door only overlaps the top 1/8", which is too risky to purchase in our opinion. We recommend at least 1/4" to 1/2" overlap on a marble fireplace.
Medium Range Steel Doors
Steel doors are more substantial than the less expensive aluminum doors. They are heavy duty and rugged and are more customizable because the frames are laser cut.
Option #4: Carolina Window Pane Fireplace Glass Door in Rustic Black with Gray Glass and Gate Mesh Backup Doors.
Option #5: Slim MET Twin Door with Black Nickel Doors and Black Glass Black Glass.
High End Hand Crafted Solid Brass
These doors are hand crafted by skilled artisans from Solid Brass or Steel, depending on the finish that is desired. Very high end, and very refined. Items made from solid brass come in a wide variety of hand crafted patinas and other finishes. Satin Nickel finishes done on solid brass are the finest quality and will not rust like plated steel.

Mesh & Insulation Options
The Mesh options are behind the glass so you can burn the fire with the doors open and still have spark protection. Great for real wood or gas logs since most gas long manufacturers insist that you have a screen in front of the logs when they are burning. Mesh panel doors are the most popular and are best for when there are toddlers present because they will not open backwards whereas the mesh screens are easily pushed in. Insulation goes between the back of the frame and the fireplace facing, providing a better seal.
Black Mesh Curtains - These slide back and forth on a rod behind the glass
Gate Mesh Doors - These are separate doors behind the glass that have a flat wire mesh and a black frame.
Insulation: Provides a better seal between the fireplace face and the door frame.
