Customer Comments: We are looking for Glass doors for this fireplace. The screen will be removed. We want something like the Carolina Window Pane Custom Fireplace Glass Doors on your site. Some sort of black or gun metal color. The fireplace is 47.25 x 23.5 inches. You can see that there is a metal structure in the fireplace. Please let me know if you need additional photos. Thanks

Low End Aluminum Doors
Aluminum is an excellent material for fireplace doors because it does not rust and can handle high temperatures when treated with powder coated finishes. It is also the most affordable.
Option #1: Brookfield ZC Fireplace Glass Door in Rustic Black with Mesh Curtains. This door overlaps the black metal opening up to 3/4" on the top and sides.
Option #2: Stiletto ZC Fireplace Glass Door in Rustic Black with Mesh Curtains. This door fits completely inside the black metal opening.
Medium Range Steel Doors
Steel doors are more substantial than the less expensive aluminum doors. They are heavy duty and rugged and are more customizable because the frames are laser cut.
Option #3: Carolina Window Pane ZC Fireplace Glass Door with 2" Wide Frame in Rustic Black with Gate Mesh Backup Doors. This door can overlap the black metal up to 1 1/4".
Option #4: Legend ZC Fireplace Glass Door with Custom Frame Width in Forged Iron with Gate Mesh Backup Doors. The frame on this door can be customized to cover all of the black metal for a much cleaner finished look.
Option #5: Legend Window Pane ZC Fireplace Glass Door with Custom Frame Width in Rustic Black with Gate Mesh Backup Doors. The frame on this door can be customized to cover all of the black metal for a much cleaner finished look.
Option #6: Craftsman Fireplace Door with Custom Frame Width in Forged Iron with Gate Mesh Backup Doors. The frame on this door can be customized to cover all of the black metal for a much cleaner finished look.
Doors That Can Overlap the Slate
These are ultra high end doors that can be made to overlap the slate. Because zero clearance fireplaces require glass doors to allow airflow into the fireplace, these doors do so by adding 1/4" spacers to the back side of the frame to accomplish this. That allows them to overlap the exterior facia instead of having to fit inside like the other doors above.
Option #7: DF1G Hand Crafted Steel or Solid Brass Bifold Door in Flat Black with Mesh Curtains. This is the most basic overlap fitting door.
Option #8: EDGE-4 Inside fitting Narrow Frame Door in Flat Black with Graylite-14 Dark Gray Glass and Mesh Curtains.
Option #9: WI-DF1G Wrought Iron Folding Cabinet Fireplace Door in Oil Rubbed Steel with Graylite-14 Dark Gray Glass and Mesh Curtains.
Option #10: WI-DF1G Wrought Iron Twin Cabinet Fireplace Door with Surround in Oil Rubbed Steel with Graylite-14 Clear Glass and Mesh Curtains. The surround changes the appearance of the fireplace to more normal proportion.
Option #11: WI-DF1G Wrought Iron Twin Cabinet Fireplace Door with Surround in Roman Bronze with Mesh In Front of Graylite-14 Clear Glass and Mesh Curtains Behind the Glass. Adding a wire mesh in front of the softens the look by obscuring the glass while still having the advantage of glass.

Mesh & Insulation Options
The Mesh options are behind the glass so you can burn the fire with the doors open and still have spark protection. Great for real wood or gas logs since most gas long manufacturers insist that you have a screen in front of the logs when they are burning. Mesh panel doors are the most popular and are best for when there are toddlers present because they will not open backwards whereas the mesh screens are easily pushed in. Insulation goes between the back of the frame and the fireplace facing, providing a better seal.
Black Mesh Curtains - These slide back and forth on a rod behind the glass
Gate Mesh Doors - These are separate doors behind the glass that have a flat wire mesh and a black frame.
Insulation: Provides a better seal between the fireplace face and the door frame.
