Custom Fireplace Glass Doors - Project #11029
Customer Comments: I am interested in #4 doors and this Log. CHB - Charred Royal English Oak (Vented). The height is 39 1/2 inches the width is 42 1/2 inches the back is 40 inches and the depth is 24 inches
Our Comments: In order to add glass doors to your fireplace we must first add more black trim on the sides inside the fireplace behind the mantel legs in order to take care of the step in the mantel leg. Otherwise, there will be about a 1/2" gap on the sides. Refer to the first mockup to see how that. We have created a mockup of the Savannah, but we do not feel that door matches the caliber of the room, so we have created several more classic examples as well as a more medieval option to go with your chandeliers.
Fireplace Opening: 42 1/2" W x 39 1/2" H
Note: These mock-ups are not to scale and are meant to help you choose the model of your screen or door, not the finish. Although we may create a general representation of black, iron, bronze, gold and silver tones, you must choose your finish from our samples using the links below. Ask your project manager which samples apply to the items in your project.

Trim
Before we can add any glass doors, we need to square up the opening with 2 pieces of steel trim that will attach to the inside of the fireplace behind the mantel legs. This will allow the doors to avoid the step at the foot of the mantel.
Low End Aluminum Doors
Aluminum is an excellent material for fireplace doors because it does not rust and can handle high temperatures when treated with powder coated finishes. It is also the most affordable.
Medium Range Steel Doors
Steel doors are more substantial than the less expensive aluminum doors. They are heavy duty and rugged and are more customizable because the frames are laser cut.
High End Wrought Iron Doors
Hand crafted doors take on a more rugged natural look for those who appreciate craftsmanship tasteful details.

High End Hand Crafted Solid Brass
These doors are hand crafted by skilled artisans from Solid Brass or Steel, depending on the finish that is desired. Very high end, and very refined. Items made from solid brass come in a wide variety of hand crafted patinas and other finishes. Satin Nickel finishes done on solid brass are the finest quality and will not rust like plated steel.

Solid Brass Castings
Use your imagination to create the perfect fireplace screen with these solid brass castings from Stone Manufacturing. Compliment architectural details in the mantel or other furnishings in our home, or simply create your own unique look. Available in a wide variety of finishes.

Mesh & Insulation Options
The Mesh options are behind the glass so you can burn the fire with the doors open and still have spark protection. Great for real wood or gas logs since most gas long manufacturers insist that you have a screen in front of the logs when they are burning. Mesh panel doors are the most popular and are best for when there are toddlers present because they will not open backwards whereas the mesh screens are easily pushed in. Insulation goes between the back of the frame and the fireplace facing, providing a better seal.
