Modern Glass Doors for Heat Circulating Fireplace - Project #11036
Customer Comments: As you see we have gas with glass stones. Doors need to open. Our decor is as you seen clean lines, with glass and wood tables. Stair hand railsis brushed stainless steel. Front doors will be changing to glass with Stainless hardware. Current ZC does not have a blower on it. Natural air re-circulation. Don't want to see upper and lower vents if possible. Magnetic attachment required.
Our Comments: The vents on this type of fireplace create airflow by natural convection not only for heat circulation but to cool the external metal workings of the fireplace. Blocking airflow to the vents can create a fire hazard so we cannot just cover them up. Magnets are only available on lightweight doors made from aluminum. Other methods of installing the doors are provided depending on the door, but they are all very easy to install. We have presented 3 different options below representing a broad price range.
Fireplace Opening: 37" W x 30 1/2" H (allowing for 1/8" clearance)
Note: These mock-ups are not to scale and are meant to help you choose the model of your screen or door, not the finish. Although we may create a general representation of black, iron, bronze, gold and silver tones, you must choose your finish from our samples using the links below. Ask your project manager which samples apply to the items in your project.

Doors for Heat Circulating Fireplaces

Mesh & Insulation Options
The Mesh options are behind the glass so you can burn the fire with the doors open and still have spark protection. Great for real wood or gas logs since most gas long manufacturers insist that you have a screen in front of the logs when they are burning. Mesh panel doors are the most popular and are best for when there are toddlers present because they will not open backwards whereas the mesh screens are easily pushed in. Insulation goes between the back of the frame and the fireplace facing, providing a better seal.
