Glass Doors for Floor to Ceiling Marble Fireplace - Project #11046
Customer Comments: The measurements of our fireplace are 36 inches wide and 31 inches high. We are looking for glass doors that would fit flush with the fireplace.
Our Comments: Here are examples of glass doors that have a minimal design and fit inside or flush with the fireplace opening.

Minimal Design Fireplace Doors
Option #1: Minimal-1 by Stone Manufacturing: Twin Fireplace Glass Door in Weathered Brass. This door has no frame on the sides and very minimal hardware made form solid brass. It also incorporates 3/8" thick glass for added opulence.
Option #2: HYBRID-2 Bifold Fireplace Glass Door in Satin Nickel. This door also has no frame on the sides and is made from Solid Brass.
Option #3: PROFILE-6 Aluminum Bifold Fireplace Door with Flush Fitting Bullnose Profile in Matte Black. This door is made to overlap 1/4" around the fireplace opening for a very clean finished look.
Option #4: PROFILE-4 Aluminum Bifold Fireplace Door with a Narrow Profile in Satin Gold Powder Coat. This door is shown as an inside fit and will require a 1/8" gap on the top and sides. If the fireplace is not perfectly square, we recommend using this door as an overlap fit like Option #3.
Option #5: Legend Fireplace Glass Door in Satin Nickel Plated Steel. Shown with a 1/4" overlap.
Option #6: EC-20DF Chrome Plated Ovals Bifold Fireplace Door. This is a very high end door from Stone Manufacturing. Shown as an inside fit. These doors are made to within a 1/16" tolerance. If the opening is not perfectly square, we recommend doing a 1/4" overlap fit with doors like this. Shown with CT-5M high end chrome plated solid brass fireplace tools.

Mesh & Insulation Options
The Mesh options are behind the glass so you can burn the fire with the doors open and still have spark protection. Great for real wood or gas logs since most gas long manufacturers insist that you have a screen in front of the logs when they are burning. Mesh panel doors are the most popular and are best for when there are toddlers present because they will not open backwards whereas the mesh screens are easily pushed in. Insulation goes between the back of the frame and the fireplace facing, providing a better seal.
Black Mesh Curtains - These slide back and forth on a rod behind the glass
Gate Mesh Doors - These are separate doors behind the glass that have a flat wire mesh and a black frame.
Insulation: Provides a better seal between the fireplace face and the door frame.
