Glass Doors with Retracting Hidden Mesh - Project #11060
Customer Comments: If possible I would like to have a custom fireplace enclosure made with glass doors and retractable screens. Here is an image of what I have in mind (see sketch below), the depth is flexible, it will be sitting on a stucco finish. I would prefer flat black painted, clear glass doors with as simple detailing as possible.
Our Comments: Here are several ways that glass doors can be made where the mesh curtains retract completely out view. In these examples the glass doors open out and the mesh slides behind the door frame so it can be completely hidden when opened.

Although we may create a general representation of black, iron, bronze, gold and silver tones, you must choose your finish from our samples using the links below. Mesh & Insulation Options
The Mesh options are behind the glass so you can burn the fire with the doors open and still have spark protection. Great for real wood or gas logs since most gas long manufacturers insist that you have a screen in front of the logs when they are burning. Mesh panel doors are the most popular and are best for when there are toddlers present because they will not open backwards whereas the mesh screens are easily pushed in. Insulation goes between the back of the frame and the fireplace facing, providing a better seal.
