Gas Burning Metal Sculpture Options - Project #11205

Customer Comments: Hello, I would like some design advice for this vented gas masonry fireplace. What we have in there now doesn't fit right and is unsightly. We were hoping to have something to fill up space and hide the mechanisms, but wouldn't take away the airy feeling. Any suggestions are most welcome. Please find below the dimensions of the opening and a pic is attached to this email. Thanks in advance for your kind reply.

Our Comments: Here are some options showing various ways to use our Windswept Tree gas burning sculpture. If you wish to have a remote control for the gas fire, you will need some way to hide the unsightly valve and receiver. We normally use andirons or a mesh curtain for this purpose. Considering you may not need a remote control, we have presented other options that would use a less conspicuous valve that has a simple knob to turn the gas on and off, or you can even use a match light system that has no visible controls at all. One of our experts will disucss these options with you over the phone.

Mesh & Insulation Options

The Mesh options are behind the glass so you can burn the fire with the doors open and still have spark protection. Great for real wood or gas logs since most gas long manufacturers insist that you have a screen in front of the logs when they are burning. Mesh panel doors are the most popular and are best for when there are toddlers present because they will not open backwards whereas the mesh screens are easily pushed in. Insulation goes between the back of the frame and the fireplace facing, providing a better seal.

Black Mesh Curtains - These slide back and forth on a rod behind the glass
Gate Mesh Doors - These are separate doors behind the glass that have a flat wire mesh and a black frame.
Insulation: Provides a better seal between the fireplace face and the door frame.
