Glass Door with Blower for Large Brick Fireplace - Project #11208
Customer Comments: I am interested in a quote for a custom Legend Door with Blower and the Brookfield. Does the Brookfield have the option for a blower as well? I understand that the blower is currently unavailable due to supply, but was wondering if it is still possible to move forward with making the custom door? Is there an update on when the blower will be available?
Our Comments: Here are examples of the Legend, Carolina and Brookfield doors with a blower. There is no indication that the Cozy Grate heater that we feature on our website will be available any time soon, or any time at all in the future. We have a different type of blower that is currently availble as shown in the mockups below.
Fireplace Opening: 48" W x 30 1/8" H
Note: These mock-ups are not to scale and are meant to help you choose the model of your screen or door, not the finish. Although we may create a general representation of black, iron, bronze, gold and silver tones, you must choose your finish from our samples using the links below. Ask your project manager which samples apply to the items in your project.

Affordable Aluminum Doors
Aluminum is an excellent material for fireplace doors because it does not rust and can handle high temperatures when treated with powder coated finishes. It is also the most affordable.

Medium Range Steel Doors
Steel doors are more substantial than the less expensive aluminum doors. They are heavy duty and rugged and are more customizable because the frames are laser cut.

Blower
This is the "Airculator" fireplace blower. This heavy duty heat circulating grate features a side mount fan that sits outside the fireplace (left or right side). Having the fan outside the fireplace keeps it away from the heat for better longevity than fans that sit inside. Even more, there are two small air jets beneath the grate that feed air directly into the bottom of the fire for easier starting and continued oxygenation of the fire. This is great when burning with glass doors that are closed. Keep in mind that Design Specialties doors can be burned closed, so pairing this heater with a Design Specialties glass door is ideal.

Mesh & Insulation Options
The Mesh options are behind the glass so you can burn the fire with the doors open and still have spark protection. Great for real wood or gas logs since most gas long manufacturers insist that you have a screen in front of the logs when they are burning. Mesh panel doors are the most popular and are best for when there are toddlers present because they will not open backwards whereas the mesh screens are easily pushed in. Insulation goes between the back of the frame and the fireplace facing, providing a better seal.
