Glass Doors for Layered Tile Fireplace - Project #11237

Customer Comments: We are needing custom magnetic glass doors for our fireplace. The dimensions of the opening is 38.5"w x 27"h. Will need the doors to be 1/8" smaller to make sure it doesn't hit some uneven tile around the sides. We would like it in matte black and of a simple design please. Thank you

Our Comments: Here are some great looking fireplace doors that can be attached with magnets. We noticed the black and brass chandelier in your dining room, so we incorporated that into the design of two of the doors, which can be made all black if you prefer. Each of these options can be installed with magnets. Only the higher end doors are available with magnetic installation, so if these are beyond your budget you may need to consider doors that do not have magnets.

Medium Range Steel Doors

These doors are custom made from solid or formed steel and can be made with magnetic installation.

Flat Steel
Flat Steel Fireplace Door Option #1: Hearth Creations Flat Steel or Formed Steel Magnetic Bifold Door in Flat Black. Flat steel is 3/16" thick solid steel whereas formed steel is much thinner 7 gauge steel that is bent into shape. They will look similar, but flat steel has a much more substantial feel to it and is slightly more expensive than the less rigid formed steel.
Mid Century Modern 2
Mid Century Modern 2 Fireplace Door Option #2: Hearth Creations Mid Century Modern II Twin Fireplace Door in Flat Black. This door has a sleek design without handles. The door frames stand out about 1" from the back frame and open like a cabinet door.

High End Hand Crafted Solid Brass & Steel

These doors are hand crafted by skilled artisans from Solid Brass or Steel, depending on the finish that is desired. Very high end, and very refined. Items made from solid brass come in a wide variety of hand crafted patinas and other finishes. Satin Nickel finishes done on solid brass are the finest quality and will not rust like plated steel.

Sliding Door

Mesh & Insulation Options

The Mesh options are behind the glass so you can burn the fire with the doors open and still have spark protection. Great for real wood or gas logs since most gas long manufacturers insist that you have a screen in front of the logs when they are burning. Mesh panel doors are the most popular and are best for when there are toddlers present because they will not open backwards whereas the mesh screens are easily pushed in. Insulation goes between the back of the frame and the fireplace facing, providing a better seal.

Black Mesh Curtains - These slide back and forth on a rod behind the glass
Gate Mesh Doors - These are separate doors behind the glass that have a flat wire mesh and a black frame.
Insulation: Provides a better seal between the fireplace face and the door frame.
