Inside Fit Glass Doors for Stone Fireplace - Project #11241
Customer Comments: Good morning. I would like to get a quote for internal glass doors. I've purchased standard ones before but the block on this fireplace is too irregular to accommodate. Please let me know if you have any additional questions. We will not be using this fireplace. The doors will be used to keep the space closed and creat a seal between inside and outside air. Simple as cost will be a factor. Straight lines, Basic, Twin Door, Tinted Glass (similar to Hearth Craft Reflection or Hearth Craft Medio or similar). Color: Nickel, Bronze, or similar to match the block.
Our Comments: The first three mockups are going to be the most affordable options and are more in line with your request. Because others view these projects looking for ideas, we included other higher end options that compliment your beautiful stone and rustic wood mantel as well as the furnishings in the room. Each of these are shown fitting inside the fireplace opening with mortar filling the gap between the frame and the stone.
Fireplace Opening:
34 3/8" W x 28 1/8" H
The firebox drops down 1 7/8" from the hearth top so the doors would need to be elevated above that to properly open.
Note: These mock-ups are not to scale and are meant to help you choose the model of your screen or door, not the finish. Although we may create a general representation of black, iron, bronze, gold and silver tones, you must choose your finish from our samples using the links below. Ask your project manager which samples apply to the items in your project.

Affordable Aluminum Doors
Aluminum is an excellent material for fireplace doors because it does not rust and can handle high temperatures when treated with powder coated finishes. It is also the most affordable.

High End Hand Crafted Wrought Iron/Steel Doors
Hand crafted doors take on a more rugged natural look for those who appreciate craftsmanship tasteful details.

Mesh & Insulation Options
The Mesh options are behind the glass so you can burn the fire with the doors open and still have spark protection. Great for real wood or gas logs since most gas long manufacturers insist that you have a screen in front of the logs when they are burning. Mesh panel doors are the most popular and are best for when there are toddlers present because they will not open backwards whereas the mesh screens are easily pushed in. Insulation goes between the back of the frame and the fireplace facing, providing a better seal.
