Glass Doors for Corner Fireplace - Project #11252
Customer Comments: Hello, Would be curious to get some sort of clean looking glass door built for our fireplace opening. We live in Littleton, CO. We have a 10 month old so need something that will keep her out of the fireplace. I collect danish modern furniture. the room is a bit discombobulated but you get the idea. Please see link to pics below. Thanks so much!
Our Comments: Here are some examples of custom made corner fireplace doors that will work with your Scandinavian decor. Before any of these doors can be made, we will need to confirm whether or not this is a prefabricated fireplace. We will include separate instructions for that in an email.

Note: These mock-ups are not to scale and are meant to help you choose the model of your screen or door, not the finish. Affordable Aluminum Doors
Aluminum is an excellent material for fireplace doors because it does not rust and can handle high temperatures when treated with powder coated finishes. It is also the most affordable.

High End Hand Crafted Wrought Iron/Steel Doors
Hand crafted doors take on a more rugged natural look for those who appreciate craftsmanship tasteful details. If the fireplace is masonry the 3/16" thick steel frame will lay flat against the slate for a clean finished look. If it is a prefab fireplace we will add 1/4" spacers to the back side of the frame to allow airflow into the fireplace to prevent overheating

Mesh & Insulation Options
The Mesh options are behind the glass so you can burn the fire with the doors open and still have spark protection. Great for real wood or gas logs since most gas long manufacturers insist that you have a screen in front of the logs when they are burning. Mesh panel doors are the most popular and are best for when there are toddlers present because they will not open backwards whereas the mesh screens are easily pushed in. Insulation goes between the back of the frame and the fireplace facing, providing a better seal.
