Custom Fireplace Glass Doors - Project #11253
Customer Comments: Trying to replace our fireplace screen. Attached is our current one. It is attached at the top and the pull mechanism pulls it up and down. However it regularly detaches because of its weight. We want to replace with a curtain version. The screen appears to be black steel. The opening is 72 inches w by 23.25 inches high.
Our Comments: Below are several options for treating your fireplace. Screens that have mesh curtains will use our "I-Beam Track" which allows mesh curtains to be used on wider fireplaces without having a curtain rod that sags.
Fireplace Opening: 72" W x 23 1/4" H
Note: These mock-ups are not to scale and are meant to help you choose the model of your screen or door, not the finish. Although we may create a general representation of black, iron, bronze, gold and silver tones, you must choose your finish from our samples using the links below. Ask your project manager which samples apply to the items in your project.

Stone Manufacturing Wrought Iron Fireplace Screens
Each of the options below is hand crafted from wrought iron in a Natural Iron finish. We have many other finishes and materials available, but we chose this one to show the various ways a screen can be made for this fireplace.

I-Beam Track
Below is an example showing what the I-Beam track looks like. There are rollers attached to the mesh curtain that fit onto the track making it the sturdiest mesh system for large fireplaces.

Mesh & Insulation Options
The Mesh options are behind the glass so you can burn the fire with the doors open and still have spark protection. Great for real wood or gas logs since most gas long manufacturers insist that you have a screen in front of the logs when they are burning. Mesh panel doors are the most popular and are best for when there are toddlers present because they will not open backwards whereas the mesh screens are easily pushed in. Insulation goes between the back of the frame and the fireplace facing, providing a better seal.
