Custom Glass Doors for Stacked Stone Fireplace In The Wall - Project #11257
Customer Comments: Hi, We have updated our fireplace and are interested in custom fireplace doors. I've attached the three photos you requested. Two options that we like from your photo gallery are from Project #10973:
- option #2 - stiletto cutback bifold fireplace door in rustic black
- option #6 - hybrid bifold (no frame on sides)
Our Comments: Here are the mockups you requested in black and in satin nickel with some added stainless steel gas ornaments to complete the look. The Stiletto would need to fit inside the opening leaving about 1/4" space between the frame and the stones. The gap would then need to be filled with mortar. We would not use the "Cutback" version for this application, just the standard Stiletto.

Affordable Aluminum Doors
Aluminum is an excellent material for fireplace doors because it does not rust and can handle high temperatures when treated with powder coated finishes. It is also the most affordable.

High End Hand Crafted Solid Brass
These doors are hand crafted by skilled artisans from Solid Brass. Very high end, and very refined. Satin Nickel finishes done on solid brass are the finest quality and will not rust like plated steel.
Option #2A: Stone Manufacturing HYBRID-2 Solid Brass Bifold Fireplace Glass Door in Flat Black. This door has no frame on the sides.
Option #2B: Stone Manufacturing HYBRID-2 Bifold Fireplace Glass Door in Satin Nickel. Shown with Stainless Steel Log Ornaments.

Mesh & Insulation Options
The Mesh options are behind the glass so you can burn the fire with the doors open and still have spark protection. Great for real wood or gas logs since most gas long manufacturers insist that you have a screen in front of the logs when they are burning. Mesh panel doors are the most popular and are best for when there are toddlers present because they will not open backwards whereas the mesh screens are easily pushed in. Insulation goes between the back of the frame and the fireplace facing, providing a better seal.
Black Mesh Curtains - These slide back and forth on a rod behind the glass
Gate Mesh Doors - These are separate doors behind the glass that have a flat wire mesh and a black frame.
Insulation: Provides a better seal between the fireplace face and the door frame.
