Glass Doors for Corner White Brick Fireplace Raised in Wall - Project #11283
Customer Comments: Looking for it to be satin/matte black and with a mid century modern aesthetic. Please let me know if you need anything else. The information about my fireplace is below. I am looking forward to working with you all.
Our Comments: The mockups below represent the low to high end for mid century modern doors. The low end doors are made from aluminum, medium and higher end are made from 3/16" solid steel. The Sliding doors are great because the doors do not stick out when they are open, which is great if you have small children around. This is a unique feature you will not likely find anywhere else. Keep in mind that with gas logs you MUST burn the fire with the doors open to prevent the gas valve and other components from overheating.
Left Side: 41 7/8" W x 19" H
Right Side: 16 5/8" W x 19" H
Note: These mock-ups are not to scale and are meant to help you choose the model of your screen or door, not the finish. Although we may create a general representation of black, iron, bronze, gold and silver tones, you must choose your finish from our samples using the links below. Ask your project manager which samples apply to the items in your project.

Affordable Aluminum Doors
Aluminum is an excellent material for fireplace doors because it does not rust and can handle high temperatures when treated with powder coated finishes. It is also the most affordable.
Medium Range Steel Doors
Steel doors are more substantial than the less expensive aluminum doors. They are heavy duty and rugged and are more customizable because the frames are laser cut.
High End Hand Crafted Sliding Doors
These doors are hand crafted by skilled artisans with a unique sliding door feature, which is the ultimate choice for fireplaces raised above ground level. The glass panes on the left side are fixed and the two center panes slide left and right to open. The right side is fixed.
Mesh & Insulation Options
The Mesh options are behind the glass so you can burn the fire with the doors open and still have spark protection. Great for real wood or gas logs since most gas long manufacturers insist that you have a screen in front of the logs when they are burning. Mesh panel doors are the most popular and are best for when there are toddlers present because they will not open backwards whereas the mesh screens are easily pushed in. Insulation goes between the back of the frame and the fireplace facing, providing a better seal.
