Custom Glass Doors for Black Tile Fireplace - Project #11318

Customer Comments: Hello I'm looking to get a fireplace door. I'm looking for an overlap door where the metal is as narrow as possible while not showing any gap between the metal and stone. I also don't want it to stick out from the stone much. I'm looking for bifold doors with clear tempered glass and sliding mesh curtain. The width is 37 1/8" and height is 29". Lastly I'm looking for a black finish. From your website I see maybe Legend Narrow Frame Option or Carolina? I'm wondering what you would recommend? Thank you.

Our Comments: Here are a few examples of doors that closely fit your description. Some width of the frame can be adjusted with some of the doors and will depend on how much overlap is necessary to hide the joints between the tiles. We did add some gold accents to some of the options to tie in with your decor, but those can also be made in all black.

Fireplace Opening: 37 1/8" W x 29" H

Although we may create a general representation of black, iron, bronze, gold and silver tones, you must choose your finish from our samples using the links below. About Finishes!

Before:

Affordable Aluminum Doors

Aluminum is an excellent material for fireplace doors because it does not rust and can handle high temperatures when treated with powder coated finishes. It is also the most affordable.

Medium Range Steel Doors

Steel doors are more substantial than the less expensive aluminum doors. They are heavy duty and rugged and are more customizable because the frames are laser cut.

High End Hand Crafted Solid Brass

These doors are hand crafted by skilled artisans from Solid Brass or Steel, depending on the finish that is desired. Very high end, and very refined. Items made from solid brass come in a wide variety of hand crafted patinas and other finishes. Satin Nickel finishes done on solid brass are the finest quality and will not rust like plated steel.

Mesh & Insulation Options

The Mesh options are behind the glass so you can burn the fire with the doors open and still have spark protection. Great for real wood or gas logs since most gas long manufacturers insist that you have a screen in front of the logs when they are burning. Mesh panel doors are the most popular and are best for when there are toddlers present because they will not open backwards whereas the mesh screens are easily pushed in. Insulation goes between the back of the frame and the fireplace facing, providing a better seal.

Black Mesh Curtains - These slide back and forth on a rod behind the glass
Gate Mesh Doors - These are separate doors behind the glass that have a flat wire mesh and a black frame.
Insulation: Provides a better seal between the fireplace face and the door frame.
