Free Standing Sliding Mesh Curtain Screen and Chenet - Project #11323
I need a custom screen for a wood burning fireplace in a living room of a 100 year-old Park Avenue building. I like the idea of incorporating a small fender and possibly andirons. I would also like to purchase a new log holder. The stone opening measures 35.5" wide by 27.5" high. The hearth stone projects 9" from face of stone. Attached are pictures of fireplace and inspirations from your web site (see below).
Fireplace Opening: 35 1/2" W x 27 1/2" H
Note: These mock-ups are not to scale and are meant to help you choose the model of your screen or door, not the finish. Although we may create a general representation of black, iron, bronze, gold and silver tones, you must choose your finish from our samples using the links below. Ask your project manager which samples apply to the items in your project.

Frame Screens with Fenders
We can custom make a fender with a matching casting trim to compliment the frame screen. Here are examples in the two finishes you requested.
Frame Screens with Chenets
These screens are hand crafted by skilled artisans from Solid Brass. Very high end, and very refined. These items are available in a wide variety of hand crafted patinas and other finishes. The Chenets are Antique Reproductions and will have flaws in the castings derived form the originals.
Each of these chenets can be made in most of the finishes below including Oil Rubbed Bronze and Statuary Bronze. Combinations of finishes are also available for components that are crafted separately as shown in 2 of the examples.
Solid Brass Castings
Use your imagination to create the perfect fireplace screen with these solid brass castings from Stone Manufacturing. Compliment architectural details in the mantel or other furnishings in our home, or simply create your own unique look. Available in a wide variety of finishes.
Mesh & Insulation Options
The Mesh options are behind the glass so you can burn the fire with the doors open and still have spark protection. Great for real wood or gas logs since most gas long manufacturers insist that you have a screen in front of the logs when they are burning. Mesh panel doors are the most popular and are best for when there are toddlers present because they will not open backwards whereas the mesh screens are easily pushed in. Insulation goes between the back of the frame and the fireplace facing, providing a better seal.
This page was created as part of our Free Fireplace Door Design service. Anyone who has a fireplace and is considering glass doors can take advantage of this program.
