Glass Doors for White Brick Corner Fireplace - Project #11358
Customer Comments: Hello, we are looking to get a glass surround for the corner fireplace. We have a baby and he just loves going into the fireplace and playing with all the lava rocks. Is it possible to have a couple of mock-ups done and pricing? We'd like something modern looking as opposed to traditional.
Our Comments: Here are examples of simple modern corner fireplace doors that can be custom made to fit your corner fireplace. These are available in many finishes, but we chose black based on the decor we could see in your pictures.
Fireplace Opening: Roughly: 35" W (right side) x 23" W (left side) x 25" H
Note: These mock-ups are not to scale and are meant to help you choose the model of your screen or door, not the finish. Although we may create a general representation of black, iron, bronze, gold and silver tones, you must choose your finish from our samples using the links below. Ask your project manager which samples apply to the items in your project.

Affordable Aluminum Doors
Aluminum is an excellent material for fireplace doors because it does not rust and can handle high temperatures when treated with powder coated finishes. Aluminum doors can be made with an all glass corner and are the most affordable.

Medium Range Steel Doors
Steel doors are more substantial than the less expensive aluminum doors. They are heavy duty and rugged and are more customizable because the frames are laser cut. Steel doors have a framed corner.
High End Hand Crafted Sliding Doors
Sliding doors are unique and modern. On the main side the left and right glass panes are fixed and the two center panels slide left and right to open and close. The short side on the left would be fixed. These are less practical for burning wood but are excellent with gas logs and alternative gas fires.

Mesh & Insulation Options
The Mesh options are behind the glass so you can burn the fire with the doors open and still have spark protection. Great for real wood or gas logs since most gas long manufacturers insist that you have a screen in front of the logs when they are burning. Mesh panel doors are the most popular and are best for when there are toddlers present because they will not open backwards whereas the mesh screens are easily pushed in. Insulation goes between the back of the frame and the fireplace facing, providing a better seal.
