Affordable Aluminum Doors

Aluminum is an excellent material for fireplace doors because it does not rust and can handle high temperatures when treated with powder coated finishes. It is also the most affordable.

Customer Comments:

Hello, Attached are the different angles/photos of the fireplace. It appears the fireplace is a prefab with a gas pipe. It does have a chimney but there is no lintel bar, just marble tile over the front of it. Measurements are based on the inside lengths going from tile to tile and not the inset metal of the fireplace. Below is what I got off my first pass:

Width
1. Top - 42 3/16
2. Middle - 42 3/16
3. Bottom - 42 1/8

Height 1. Left - 21 3/16
2. Center - 21 1/8
3. Right - 21

As for what we are looking for:
1. Something to tie into existing fireplace nicely
2. Nothing ornate but simple & nice
3. It can have some design to it but not looking for a bevel frame since the marble around it is flat/smooth
4. Trackless Bi-Fold doors
5. Solid mesh gate (unless recommended doors do not require one)
6. Hoping to get an inside fit
7. Want to show off as much of the fireplace as possible (i.e., not cover it up with a lot of large metal unless the design makes the area pop)

If it helps, unless you have better options, I have identified some fireplaces online while goggling. Please do not limit your professional opinions to the selections below but instead use them as a proof of concept for what we are looking for (we are not even sure if they will work).
1. Essex
2. Stiletto
3. Craftsman
4. Carolina
5. Stone Manufacturing HYBRID-2
6. Brookfield
7. Legend

Any help would greatly be appreciated.

Mesh & Insulation Options

The Mesh options are behind the glass so you can burn the fire with the doors open and still have spark protection. Great for real wood or gas logs since most gas long manufacturers insist that you have a screen in front of the logs when they are burning. Mesh panel doors are the most popular and are best for when there are toddlers present because they will not open backwards whereas the mesh screens are easily pushed in. Insulation goes between the back of the frame and the fireplace facing, providing a better seal.

Black Mesh Curtains - These slide back and forth on a rod behind the glass
Gate Mesh Doors - These are separate doors behind the glass that have a flat wire mesh and a black frame.
Insulation: Provides a better seal between the fireplace face and the door frame.
