Glass Doors for Travertine Fireplace with Irregular Opening - Project #11399
Our Comments: This zero clearance fireplace has a travertine surround with an irregular convex shape, so the doors must fit inside. Only doors designed for prefab fireplaces can be used on this in order to allow proper airflow into the fireplace.

Affordable Aluminum Doors
Aluminum is an excellent material for fireplace doors because it does not rust and can handle high temperatures when treated with powder coated finishes. It is also the most affordable.
Option #1: Hearth Creations Profile 4 Bifold Fireplace Glass Door in Matte Black.
High End Hand Crafted Doors
These doors are unique and have a very low profile made specifically to fit inside an opening like this and provide maximum viewing of the fire with minimal design.
Option #2: Stone Manufacturing Minimal-1 Fireplace Glass Door in Flat Black. This door uses 3/8" thick glass with no bottom latches for a very clean minimalist look. This door has no frame on the sides, just an angle iron at the top and bottom for a super clean look.
Option #3: Stone Manufacturing HYBRID-2 Bifold Fireplace Glass Door in Flat Black. This door has no frame on the sides, just an angle iron at the top and bottom for a super clean look.
Option #4: Stone Manufacturing EDGE-2 Sliding Fireplace Door in Flat Black. This door has 2 fixed panes of glass on the right and left sides and 2 sliding panes in the center. It uses a minimal 4 sided angle iron frame made to fit perfectly into the fireplace opening.

Mesh & Insulation Options
The Mesh options are behind the glass so you can burn the fire with the doors open and still have spark protection. Great for real wood or gas logs since most gas long manufacturers insist that you have a screen in front of the logs when they are burning. Mesh panel doors are the most popular and are best for when there are toddlers present because they will not open backwards whereas the mesh screens are easily pushed in. Insulation goes between the back of the frame and the fireplace facing, providing a better seal.

Gate Mesh Doors - These are separate doors behind the glass that have a flat wire mesh and a black frame.
Insulation: Provides a better seal between the fireplace face and the door frame.
