Glass Doors for Red Brick Heatilator Fireplace - Project #11428
Customer Comments: Our fireplace does not have a real screen cover, the one we have is just a stand alone and does not completely cover width of fireplace opening. Dimensions of the opening are: 41-1/2" (W) and 28-1/2" (H); it is a true Heatalator Fireplace installed in 1975 (we were told this by the contractor we hired to clean out the flue, recap the top of the chimney and inspect and paint the firebox 5+ years ago). We want doors that completely cover the opening (our flue is slightly rusted "open"/will not completely close, so insects/flies from our horse farm come in when fireplace is not in use). Our home is rustic with silver on light fixtures and fans, we prefer the black accessories and trim for our fireplace. We want glass doors with mesh screens behind. Please provide recommendations/suggestions and pricing

Mesh & Insulation Options
The Mesh options are behind the glass so you can burn the fire with the doors open and still have spark protection. Great for real wood or gas logs since most gas long manufacturers insist that you have a screen in front of the logs when they are burning. Mesh panel doors are the most popular and are best for when there are toddlers present because they will not open backwards whereas the mesh screens are easily pushed in. Insulation goes between the back of the frame and the fireplace facing, providing a better seal.
Black Mesh Curtains - These slide back and forth on a rod behind the glass
Gate Mesh Doors - These are separate doors behind the glass that have a flat wire mesh and a black frame.
Insulation: Provides a better seal between the fireplace face and the door frame.
