Customer Comments: Hi, We are interested in getting doors for our fireplace. We don't need anything fancy—really just looking for something that will keep the cold and hot air from the chimney from entering the room when we are not using the fireplace.
Our Comments: We have included several different doors in a variety of styles and finishes that will flatter your fireplace. We are showing each of these as cabinet doors with clear glass and no mesh. Mesh curtains and gate mesh backup doors can be added if you wish.

Affordable Aluminum Doors
Aluminum is an excellent material for fireplace doors because it does not rust and can handle high temperatures when treated with powder coated finishes. It is also the most affordable.
Option #1: Hearth Creations Profile 4 Cabinet Fireplace Glass Door in Champagne (silver).
Option #2: Hearth Creations Profile 6 Cabinet Fireplace Glass Door in Brushed Copper (anodized).
Medium Range Steel Doors
Steel doors are more substantial than the less expensive aluminum doors. They are heavy duty and rugged and are more customizable because the frames are laser cut.
Option #4: Design Specialties Carolina Cabinet Fireplace Glass Door in Shark Skin (reflective gray).
High End Hand Crafted Solid Brass
These doors are hand crafted by skilled artisans from Solid Brass or Steel, depending on the finish that is desired. Very high end, and very refined. Items made from solid brass come in a wide variety of hand crafted patinas and other finishes. Satin Nickel finishes done on solid brass are the finest quality and will not rust like plated steel.

Option #6: Stone Manufacturing Minimal-1 Cabinet Fireplace Glass Door with Polished Brass Hardware. This door has no frame on the sides.

Mesh & Insulation Options
The Mesh options are behind the glass so you can burn the fire with the doors open and still have spark protection. Great for real wood or gas logs since most gas long manufacturers insist that you have a screen in front of the logs when they are burning. Mesh panel doors are the most popular and are best for when there are toddlers present because they will not open backwards whereas the mesh screens are easily pushed in. Insulation goes between the back of the frame and the fireplace facing, providing a better seal.
Black Mesh Curtains - These slide back and forth on a rod behind the glass
Gate Mesh Doors - These are separate doors behind the glass that have a flat wire mesh and a black frame.
Insulation: Provides a better seal between the fireplace face and the door frame.
