Casual Nautical Style Doors for Prefab Fireplace - Project #11483
Customer Comments: Hello! I'm so happy I found your website! I am looking to install glass doors on the fireplace. There is only mesh curtains on it today. Our style is simplistic but not boring, if that makes sense! Nothing ornate. Pls let me know if you need anything else. I appreciate your help.
Our Comments: There are 3 ways to treat a prefab fireplace like yours. 1: Simple doors that fit inside the opening. 2: Doors that slightly overlap the opening. 3: Doors with a frame designed to completely cover the black metal and spruce up the fireplace. We have presented doors that show each of these options.

Affordable Aluminum Doors
Aluminum is an excellent material for fireplace doors because it does not rust and can handle high temperatures when treated with powder coated finishes. It is also the most affordable.

Medium Range Steel Doors
Steel doors are more substantial than the less expensive aluminum doors. They are heavy duty and rugged and are more customizable because the frames are laser cut.

DXF Pattern Doors
These doors are made with a frame to completely cover the black metal and are show with customized DXF patterns in a nautical style to compliment your room decor.

Mesh & Insulation Options
The Mesh options are behind the glass so you can burn the fire with the doors open and still have spark protection. Great for real wood or gas logs since most gas long manufacturers insist that you have a screen in front of the logs when they are burning. Mesh panel doors are the most popular and are best for when there are toddlers present because they will not open backwards whereas the mesh screens are easily pushed in. Insulation goes between the back of the frame and the fireplace facing, providing a better seal.
