About The American Fyre Designs Fire Pits
American Fyre Designs (AFD) is a division of the R. H. Peterson Company, the same company that makes all of the Gas Logs you find on our website. AFD makes an assortment of outdoor gas burning products including outdoor fireplaces, fire tables, urns and the fire pits you see on this page. These products are made from Glass Fiber Reinforced Concrete (GFRC), which is an extremely durable material for use outdoors that derives its strength from a mixture of alkali resistant glass fiber and an acrylic polymer. This material is less dense than normal concrete and can be molded into a more finished looking product in many different finishes and styles.
