For starters, you must attach all ceiling fans to a junction box. It sounds to me like you do not yet have one. The fan will not hang on a ceiling angled at 45 degrees without constructing something on the ceiling to accommodate that angle. This is not unusual for ceilings angled like yours. I would recommend consulting an electrician if the wiring does not yet exist. They would also be able to suggest how you can build a box to put the junction box in and all the fan to be installed at the angle.
