Project 10149 - Fireplace Doors for Tempco Fireplace
Customer Comments: I am requesting free design service and a quote for a Temco model TCH4429 fireplace. The finish selections are: Artisan Premier finishes: Slate Grey, STEEL METALLIC FINISHES - Nickel Silver
Our Comments: We have done our best to create examples using the angled photograph that you supplied. All 3 of these doors will need to be made to overlap the opening above the bar that holds the mesh. The Carolina and Moderne doors both have a subframe that recesses inside the fireplace 1", so we will need to make sure that the bar covering the curtain rod is at least that far back from the front of the opening. Otherwise, it will need to be removed and the mesh will need to come out. If you wish to have mesh, that can be added to the door frame as a mesh curtain or gate mesh doors (see very bottom of this page). The Brookfield door is only recessed 3/8", so that bar and mesh can stay in place if you wish and the door will overlap the opening above the bar.

Mesh & Insulation Options
The Mesh options are behind the glass so you can burn the fire with the doors open and still have spark protection. Great for real wood or gas logs since most gas long manufacturers insist that you have a screen in front of the logs when they are burning. Mesh panel doors are the most popular and are best for when there are toddlers present because they will not open backwards whereas the mesh screens are easily pushed in. Insulation goes between the back of the frame and the fireplace facing, providing a better seal.
Black Mesh Curtains - These slide back and forth on a rod behind the glass
Gate Mesh Doors - These are separate doors behind the glass that have a flat wire mesh and a black frame.
Insulation: Provides a better seal between the fireplace face and the door frame.
