Project 10182 - Glass Doors Stone Fireplace

Customer Comments: We built a new home in 2017-2018, we will need fireplace doors with a flue adjustment handle for this fall/winter. We would prefer to have cast iron doors with some glass. This material seems to have longevity compared to other metals offered. I’m attaching the Firebox data sheet as well as a few photos to simplify the overall effort. I measured the rectangular area to be 25.5” X 44.75”, however the rock veneer is not flat. It would likely be a better air tight fit to tie the doors (frame) into the firebox directly. Please advise what you may have available and your recommendations. Feel free to call me or respond via email or text. Thank you for your time in this effort…

Our Comments: The most durable frame would be made of steel with a powder coat finish. The frame would fit inside the opening and the gap between the stone and the frame will need to be filled with mortar as shown.

Fireplace Opening: 44 3/4" W x 25 1/4" H

Although we may create a general representation of black, iron, bronze, gold and silver tones, you must choose your finish from our samples using the links below. Mesh & Insulation Options

The Mesh options are behind the glass so you can burn the fire with the doors open and still have spark protection. Great for real wood or gas logs since most gas long manufacturers insist that you have a screen in front of the logs when they are burning. Mesh panel doors are the most popular and are best for when there are toddlers present because they will not open backwards whereas the mesh screens are easily pushed in. Insulation goes between the back of the frame and the fireplace facing, providing a better seal.

Black Mesh Curtains - These slide back and forth on a rod behind the glass
Gate Mesh Doors - These are separate doors behind the glass that have a flat wire mesh and a black frame.
Insulation: Provides a better seal between the fireplace face and the door frame.
