Project 10354 - Glass Door for Fireplace Remodel
Customer Comments: Hello. This is a prefab fireplace but it had this old facing on it that is included in the second picture. The total fireplace measurements which includes the black facing is 44W x 32 H. We are remodeling and have removed the paneling that surrounded the fireplace. The fireplace opening measures 36 W x 24 H I would like to find a new facing and doors that can can cover the facing. You can see in the bottoms picture how it was bolted in and how wide the side panels are. Thank you for your help. We are painting the top half and we have a big mantel we wanted to add. Here is a picture of the material we are using. I didn’t want to take any space from the fireplace opening or take as little as possible. We are mounting a TV and with the chunky rock I don’t want the fireplace to look small compared to the rest of the wall so I would like to keep even a few inches of the facing. Thank you for your help.
Our Comments: We have attempted to create what you have described including several different door options. If you have a picture of the mantel you plan on installing as well as the material you plan on using for the hearth and flooring in the room, we may be able to incorporate that into the design as well so you can see your entire finished project.
Fireplace Dimensions:
36" W x 24" H - Actual Opening
44" W x 32" H - Black Metal Surround
Note: These mock-ups are not to scale and are meant to help you choose the model of your screen or door, not the finish. Although we may create a general representation of black, iron, bronze, gold and silver tones, you must choose your finish from our samples using the links below. Ask your project manager which samples apply to the items in your project.

Mesh & Insulation Options
The Mesh options are behind the glass so you can burn the fire with the doors open and still have spark protection. Great for real wood or gas logs since most gas long manufacturers insist that you have a screen in front of the logs when they are burning. Mesh panel doors are the most popular and are best for when there are toddlers present because they will not open backwards whereas the mesh screens are easily pushed in. Insulation goes between the back of the frame and the fireplace facing, providing a better seal.
