Project #10493 - Custom Fireplace Screens
Customer Comments: Hello, We recently moved into a new house and need a multi-panel screen (preferably a three-panel) to place in front of our family room fireplace so that our dog cannot eat the small pebbles around the gas insert. We currently have a fireplace screen from a different fireplace in front of the family room fireplace to keep the dog away. That screen is a few inches too short to fit properly across the width of the opening. I've attached two pictures of the fireplace with the smaller screen in front of it. We are looking for something similar to the smaller screen - just a bit wider to cover the 56-inch opening. We don't want a screen to fit exactly snug into the opening because the opening itself is decorative (side pillar is carved out, and opening has a decorative shape). Please let me know how much a custom screen like this would cost. Thanks.
Our Comments: We have created several examples of different types of screens that can work with your fireplace, both folding and single panel. We took the liberty of replacing brick inside your fireplace in order to hide the screen you have in your before picture.

Note: These mock-ups are not to scale and are meant to help you choose the model of your screen or door, not the finish. Although we may create a general representation of black, iron, bronze, gold and silver tones, you must choose your finish from our samples using the links below. Ask your project manager which samples apply to the items in your project.

Mesh & Insulation Options
The Mesh options are behind the glass so you can burn the fire with the doors open and still have spark protection. Great for real wood or gas logs since most gas long manufacturers insist that you have a screen in front of the logs when they are burning. Mesh panel doors are the most popular and are best for when there are toddlers present because they will not open backwards whereas the mesh screens are easily pushed in. Insulation goes between the back of the frame and the fireplace facing, providing a better seal.
