Project #10519 - Glass Doors for Fireplace
Customer Comments: We are in the planning stages of revamping the fireplace in the attached photo. Would you be able to create a mock-up image for us? We are not exactly sure how you would want the measurements taken. Our approximate is 37 3/4" W X 20 1/2 H. We will be changing the wall color to something in the brown/rust family and would pick the paint color only after selecting the frame finish. I am considering these finishes: solar bronze, toffee, autumn glow, aztec gold, bronze, oil rubbed bronze, and rustic copper.
Our Comments: We have attempted to produce mockups of the finishes that you are considering. Please keep in mind that the finish representations will look different on any computer monitor and are really meant as a generalization. Some finishes are actually very similar to each other and hard to distinguish. Lighting inside your home can make any finish look completely different than what you see on your computer. We have chosen doors for these mockups based on how we believe the metal fireplace is made. We will require additional closeup pictures of the fireplace to determine if these are the appropriate doors.
Fireplace Opening: 37 3/4" W x 20 1/2" H
Note: These mock-ups are not to scale and are meant to help you choose the model of your screen or door, not the finish. Although we may create a general representation of black, iron, bronze, gold and silver tones, you must choose your finish from our samples using the links below. Ask your project manager which samples apply to the items in your project.

Odyssey
The Odyssey comes with black reflective glass and hidden hinges. The outer frame barely shows, so if you do the whole thing in black, you can paint the wall whatever color you want without regard to the doors.
Brookfield Aluminum Doors
The brookfield is the best choice for an aluminum door providing there is some black metal around the opening that needs to be covered.
Legend Steel Doors
Steel doors are the highest quality and most durable. They have a much sturdier feel and look to them, but are about double the price of the aluminum doors. All of the finishes shown above can be done on the steel doors as well. However, the finishes below cannot be done on the aluminum doors.
Mesh & Insulation Options
The Mesh options are behind the glass so you can burn the fire with the doors open and still have spark protection. Great for real wood or gas logs since most gas long manufacturers insist that you have a screen in front of the logs when they are burning. Mesh panel doors are the most popular and are best for when there are toddlers present because they will not open backwards whereas the mesh screens are easily pushed in. Insulation goes between the back of the frame and the fireplace facing, providing a better seal.
