Project #10622 - Glass Doors for Fireplace
Customer Comments: Hi, I have a vented, gas fireplace which burns natural gas. I’m looking to add a glass door to it to keep the cold air draft from entering the room. The opening is roughly 33” (wide) x 26” (height). The only thing it is a stone fireplace and the edge walls are not smooth. See attached picture. What do you recommend? Would a mortar-in-place door be the best option? Also, I may need to replace the burner, logs, etc. They are a Hallmark set Model HCHRG624T. It has 24” logs and the logs are a “char-log”. They are about 20 years old. Again, what would you suggest? Do you sell Hallmark products? Thanks.
Our Comments: We can certainly help you with your glass doors and gas logs. Hallmark gas logs are no longer being made, but those were actually made by R. H. Peterson, which is the brand of gas logs we sell anyways.

Although we may create a general representation of black, iron, bronze, gold and silver tones, you must choose your finish from our samples using the links below. Ask your project manager which samples apply to the items in your project.

Mesh & Insulation Options
The Mesh options are behind the glass so you can burn the fire with the doors open and still have spark protection. Great for real wood or gas logs since most gas long manufacturers insist that you have a screen in front of the logs when they are burning. Mesh panel doors are the most popular and are best for when there are toddlers present because they will not open backwards whereas the mesh screens are easily pushed in. Insulation goes between the back of the frame and the fireplace facing, providing a better seal.
