Project #10720 - Glass Doors for Fireplace
Customer Comments: Hi Design Service, Please see three attached pictures. I have a Craftsman Style Tiled Living Room Fireplace. I am looking for a fireplace screen that does not cover the tile on the face of the fireplace. Fireplace Dimensions: Height - 24 3/4 inches; Width - 33 1/2 inches. Do you have any recommendations? I was looking at the "Frameless twin fireplace door design" Instead of polished brass, maybe brushed brass to match the house door handles (see picture).
Our Comments: Here are a couple examples to get started. With the Frameless door, we recommend overlapping the sides just to the edge of the tiles as shown. We also show an inside fitting door that has an angle iron frame that is on the "Edge" so you don't see a wide frame on the face, but it is more hidden inside the fireplace. This door would be made pricesly to the needed dimensions to fit inside the tile. You must measure very carefully for this door and make sure the fireplace is very square.
Fireplace Opening: 33 1/2" W x 24 3/4" H
Note: These mock-ups are not to scale and are meant to help you choose the model of your screen or door, not the finish. Although we may create a general representation of black, iron, bronze, gold and silver tones, you must choose your finish from our samples using the links below. Ask your project manager which samples apply to the items in your project.

High End Hand Crafted Solid Brass
These doors are hand crafted by skilled artisans from Solid Brass or Steel, depending on the finish that is desired. Very high end, and very refined. Items made from solid brass come in a wide variety of hand crafted patinas and other finishes. Satin Nickel finishes done on solid brass are the finest quality and will not rust like plated steel.

Mesh & Insulation Options
The Mesh options are behind the glass so you can burn the fire with the doors open and still have spark protection. Great for real wood or gas logs since most gas long manufacturers insist that you have a screen in front of the logs when they are burning. Mesh panel doors are the most popular and are best for when there are toddlers present because they will not open backwards whereas the mesh screens are easily pushed in. Insulation goes between the back of the frame and the fireplace facing, providing a better seal.
