Project #10764 - Glass Doors for BF-42 Temtex Fireplace
Customer Comments: Dimensions are 41 - 3/4" wide and 24" tall. I've taken pictures of the measurement to confirm if I'm measuring the correct dimension. Looking for fireplace doors to prevent draft when not in use. Your tight fitting option sounds appealing. Also maybe replacing the current chain curtain with gate mesh doors option so my daughter doesn't slip near the fireplace and burn herself.
Our Comments: The door we recommend for this application is the Stiletto ZC. Unfortunately, doors for prefab fireplaces CANNOT have a tight seal. This is due to safety standards that require a certain amount of air to be able go flow freely into the fireplace even when the doors are closed. This is necessary to prevent the framing members use to install the fireplace from overheating. We have created several finish combinations for you to choose from. We also recommend adding child safety latches to the door. These make it difficult for children to open the doors, with no inconvenience to adults.
Fireplace Opening: 41 3/4" W x 24" H
Note: These mock-ups are not to scale and are meant to help you choose the model of your screen or door, not the finish. Although we may create a general representation of black, iron, bronze, gold and silver tones, you must choose your finish from our samples using the links below. Ask your project manager which samples apply to the items in your project.

Stiletto ZC Inside Fitting Aluminum Fireplace Door
Aluminum is an excellent material for fireplace doors because it does not rust and can handle high temperatures when treated with powder coated finishes. It is also the most affordable.
Mesh & Insulation Options
The Mesh options are behind the glass so you can burn the fire with the doors open and still have spark protection. Great for real wood or gas logs since most gas long manufacturers insist that you have a screen in front of the logs when they are burning. Mesh panel doors are the most popular and are best for when there are toddlers present because they will not open backwards whereas the mesh screens are easily pushed in. Insulation goes between the back of the frame and the fireplace facing, providing a better seal.
