Project #11003 - Glass Doors for Fireplace
Customer Comments: We are interested in the Classic Bowed Fireplace screen for an opening of 31"w x 24.5" H We were thinking a screen size of 35"w x 28"H. This is an original gas fireplace so the firebox is quite shallow. Our preference is one of your yellow brass finished, probably Antique Brass, but it would be great if you had some physical samples that we could see to judge color more accurately than on-line. The same goes for the screen vs mesh, either physical samples or a photo with scale so we can judge actual size.
Our Comments: Here are some ideas to get you started. Once we get an idea what you like, we can discuss samples. However, we recommend using normal polished brass to match your lamps and other brass fixtures. The mockups are not to actual scale, but they are close enough to provide a good representation of the products.

Mesh & Insulation Options
The Mesh options are behind the glass so you can burn the fire with the doors open and still have spark protection. Great for real wood or gas logs since most gas long manufacturers insist that you have a screen in front of the logs when they are burning. Mesh panel doors are the most popular and are best for when there are toddlers present because they will not open backwards whereas the mesh screens are easily pushed in. Insulation goes between the back of the frame and the fireplace facing, providing a better seal.
Black Mesh Curtains - These slide back and forth on a rod behind the glass
Gate Mesh Doors - These are separate doors behind the glass that have a flat wire mesh and a black frame.
Insulation: Provides a better seal between the fireplace face and the door frame.
