Customer Comments: Good afternoon, We are remodeling a home we recently moved into. We are having stone installed on the mantles of two fireplaces. We need new screens that our cats can't get into. I've included photos of the current fireplace in the living room. We are going for more of a modern/contemporary look. The wall will be painted ivory with a dark wood floor in the living room and a darker grey in the bedroom. Thank you for your help!
Our Comments: Let's start with the concept of a free standing "L" shaped fireplace screen. These examples do not need to be moved to light the fire. If you look closely there is a cutout in the screen or the frame that allows you to insert a long match or lighter.

Free Standing Corner Fireplace Screens
These free standing corner screens have flat wire mesh for a good view of the fire and are perfect for keeping pets and small children out of the fireplace.
Option #1: 1P10M Corner Fireplace Screen in Polished Nickel. This flat wire mesh screen creates an open view of the fire with no frame at the corner. The outer frame can be made in a variety of finishes.
Option #2: 1P30M Corner Fireplace Screen in Matte Black.
Option #3: 1P10M-WIDE Corner Fireplace Screen with Matte Black Metal Frame and Polished Nickel Trim. This will do a better job of hiding the prefab fireplace behind the screen.
Option #4: 1P10M-WIDE Corner Fireplace Screen with Matte Black Metal Frame with Framed Corner and Polished Nickel Trim.

Mesh & Insulation Options
The Mesh options are behind the glass so you can burn the fire with the doors open and still have spark protection. Great for real wood or gas logs since most gas long manufacturers insist that you have a screen in front of the logs when they are burning. Mesh panel doors are the most popular and are best for when there are toddlers present because they will not open backwards whereas the mesh screens are easily pushed in. Insulation goes between the back of the frame and the fireplace facing, providing a better seal.
Black Mesh Curtains - These slide back and forth on a rod behind the glass
Gate Mesh Doors - These are separate doors behind the glass that have a flat wire mesh and a black frame.
Insulation: Provides a better seal between the fireplace face and the door frame.
