Traditional Brass Doors for Small Fireplace - Project #11299
Customer Comments: Hello, I am looking for a simple traditional brass fireplace door. The measurements of the opening are 28" wide and 22.5" high. Thanks.
Our Comments: We have presented doors made from various materials including: Solid Brass, Plated Brass and Anodized Aluminum. The solid brass doors are quite expensive and have a look of pristine quality about them that cannot be replicated with lesser materials. Most of the doors are shown as cabinet doors but they all can be made as bifold doors. We usually recommend cabinet doors for fireplaces this small as they look more elegant.
Fireplace Opening: 28" W x 22 1/2" H

Although we may create a general representation of black, iron, bronze, gold and silver tones, you must choose your finish from our samples using the links below. Ask your project manager which samples apply to the items in your project.

Affordable Aluminum Doors
Aluminum is an excellent material for fireplace doors because it does not rust and can handle high temperatures when treated with powder coated finishes. It is also the most affordable.
Medium Plated Brass Doors
These doors have a steel frame with a brass plated sheet metal overlay. They are less expensive than solid brass and will have seams where the sheet brass is wrapped around the frame.
High End Hand Crafted Solid Brass
These doors are hand crafted by skilled artisans from Solid Brass. Very high end, and very refined. Made from 100% Virgin brass, polished to perfection and sealed with a baked on heat resistant enamel that never needs to be polished.
Solid Brass Castings
Use your imagination to create the perfect fireplace screen with these solid brass castings from Stone Manufacturing. Compliment architectural details in the mantel or other furnishings in our home, or simply create your own unique look. Available in a wide variety of finishes.
Mesh & Insulation Options
The Mesh options are behind the glass so you can burn the fire with the doors open and still have spark protection. Great for real wood or gas logs since most gas long manufacturers insist that you have a screen in front of the logs when they are burning. Mesh panel doors are the most popular and are best for when there are toddlers present because they will not open backwards whereas the mesh screens are easily pushed in. Insulation goes between the back of the frame and the fireplace facing, providing a better seal.
