Customer Comments: Hi! I'm looking for 2 custom fireplace screens. Please see the attached photos for dimensions. For the one with the dark wood, I'm looking for something glass with brass (this project). Due to the size , I'm curious if you could do something with a door in the middle because I imagine this will be heavy to move to start the fire. Thanks
Our Comments: Free standing glass screens with doors are not possible. You might as well just have a glass door (see Option #3 below). We can add roller bearings to the feet that make it easy to move a free standing glass screen without having to pick it up. Another great alternative is to have us provide a new gas log burner system that has a wall switch or hand held remote control to turn the fire on and off so the screen does not need to be moved.

Option #2: Stone Manufacturing 1P88G Free Standing Glass Fireplace Screen with Prince of Wales Casting Trim and Leaf and Scroll Handles and Feet. Available with 1/4" or 3/8" standard clear glass or 3/8" Ultra-Clear Low Iron Starphire Glass. Cannot use roller bearings.
High End Hand Crafted Solid Brass
These doors are hand crafted by skilled artisans from Solid Brass or Steel, depending on the finish that is desired. Very high end, and very refined. Items made from solid brass come in a wide variety of hand crafted patinas and other finishes. Satin Nickel finishes done on solid brass are the finest quality and will not rust like plated steel.
Option #4A: Stone Manufacturing SD Sliding Fireplace Door in Flat Black. This door has 2 fixed panes of glass on the right and left sides and 2 sliding panes in the center.

Mesh & Insulation Options
The Mesh options are behind the glass so you can burn the fire with the doors open and still have spark protection. Great for real wood or gas logs since most gas long manufacturers insist that you have a screen in front of the logs when they are burning. Mesh panel doors are the most popular and are best for when there are toddlers present because they will not open backwards whereas the mesh screens are easily pushed in. Insulation goes between the back of the frame and the fireplace facing, providing a better seal.
Black Mesh Curtains - These slide back and forth on a rod behind the glass
Gate Mesh Doors - These are separate doors behind the glass that have a flat wire mesh and a black frame.
Insulation: Provides a better seal between the fireplace face and the door frame.
