Rasmussen Vented Gas Logs - Size Charts

Light a long match (or lighter) and hold it to the burner while you turn the gas key on at your wall valve. There are no safety controls here, just light it manually. This option is for Natural Gas Only, Liquid Propane always requires a safety pilot. Match-Light systems may not be legal in your city or state, so make sure you check with your building department before you choose this option. Capacity: All Sizes.

This is a match-light system with a valve attached directly to the burner making it easier to turn on the gas while holding a long lighter. Includes 6" long handle. Not available for liquid propane. Check with your building department before you choose this option. Capacity: All Sizes.

This is the most basic safety pilot and least expensive option if you are using propane gas. You light the pilot and leave it on during the cold season. To turn the fire on and off and you manually turn the knob attached to the valve. There is a minimal amount of flame adjustment as well. This valve cannot be upgraded to use any controls. Mounted directly to the side of the burner or hidden using the Valve Vanisher. Capacity: 150,000 BTU/hour (up to 42″ set size).

This is a manual safety pilot with the same features as the SPK1 above, except that it can be upgraded to either "Remote Ready" or "Variable Flame Height Remote Control" functionality with the addition of either the SE-UP1 or RE-UP1 kits (respectively). Once upgraded, you can choose from the various Standard Pilot Controls shown lower on this page. If you know you want to use a control, we recommend purchasing one of the valves below that is already "Remote Ready" and includes the appropriate upgrade kit. This is our most popular standing pilot valve because it includes a remote control that turns the logs on and off and allows you to adjust the flame. It can also be controlled manually with a switch on the receiver inside the fireplace. Mounted directly to the side of the burner or hidden using the Valve Vanisher. Capacity: 90,000 BTU/hour maximum capacity – up to 30" size (36" with 1/2" fittings and connector tubes).

This valve uses a standing pilot and includes a wired On/Off wall control and can be used with any of the Millivolt Controls shown here (sold separately). This is a low capacity valve designed for average size gas logs. There is minimal flame adjustment by manually turning the knob at the valve. Mounted directly to the side of the burner or hidden using the Valve Vanisher. Capacity: 30" and smaller; 24" for see-through

Electronic Ignition systems do not have a standing pilot when they are off and save energy. The ignition system lights the pilot automatically when it is turned on. Components are factory assembled in a Valve Vanisher Assembly. For 30" and smaller set sizes. Raises the log set 2-58" above the floor. ON, OFF and Flame Height controlled by hand-held remote transmitter (included). Battery powered. Cannot be interfaced with home automation system, power vent or wall switch.

This Electronic Ignition System has no standing pilot and sits on the side of the gas log taking up a lot of space. The "Big Ugly Box" is 4.25"w x 8" d x 5" h. For 30" and smaller set sizes. ON, OFF and Flame Height controlled by hand-held remote transmitter (included). Battery powered or 120v with accessory [STEV-AC]. Can be interfaced with home automation system or wall switch (loses flame height adjustment), but not with power vent.

This Electronic Ignition System has no standing pilot and is designed to be hidden in the wall of the fireplace and is typically used in new construction or during a major remodel. The components installed outside of the firebox in a "vault" (minimum 12" x 12" x 12" ) with gas and electricity. There are several versions of this depending on the power and size of the log set

RL150 – 120v and/or battery powered. For 30" and smaller set sizes. ON, OFF and Flame Height controlled by hand-held remote transmitter (included). Battery powered or 120v with accessory [STEV-AC]. Can be interfaced with home automation system or wall switch (loses flame height adjustment), but not with power vent.Note: Same components as EIS-RS150 except with 72-inch igniter leads and pilot tube.

120V AC Powered. Versions for all sizes. ON/OFF control only. Can be interfaced with remote control, home automation system, power vent and/or wall switch. No gas modulation control – requires manual valve at burner to control flame height (such as V17, V1, or V2, or one of sufficient gas capacity). 120v stepped down to 24v with included transformer.
